Skipping the Crib

Lucas tired of his Moses basket, hated the "jail like" feeling (his words not ours) of his new crib so he took over our bed for his daily naps. Off camera, Jesse is sleeping in the crib right now.

Chillin

Lucas enjoys a break from the 3 hour tummy time sessions that his parents put him through by resting on his boppy pillow.

First Bath

A few memories from Lucas's first bath. After getting a little nervous when he hit the water, he settled down and really enjoyed getting cleaned up, especially when we decided to brush his wisps of hair when he was a cleaned up!

Lucas' Chinatown Adventure

2010 is the year of the Tiger and tomorrow is Chinese New Year. Lucas wanted to find out what all the fuss is about so we strapped on the sling and headed down to Chinatown.

First subway ride down to Canal Street.

Aunt Chappell hangs with Lucas at the MOCA.

Dozing at dinner after a long day.

Chugging LeChita

Lucas has really taken to the bottle this week as Dad gets into the early morning feeding routine.

Dancing with Grandpa H

Another (belatedly posted) video from Lucas's 10th day of life.

Lucas meets Ball

Pulled this gem from the archives. This is a video from waaaay back when Lucas was only 10 days old and had his first encounter with the black and white ball--one of the few toys that he can actually see.

Lucas Cheers the Saints to Victory

Lucas watched his first Super Bowl last night wearing his football lounge suit (thank Auntie Lauren!). He thought the game was pretty exciting and his favorite commercial was, of course, the awesome Google ad.

Lucas has a new cousin!

Lucas is psyched to have a cousin almost exactly his age! Sebastian Kempton (son of Rebecca, Nick's sister, and Patrick Kempton) was born on February 4th and is a cute little bugger. Lucas is psyched to have a buddy to hang with in Chicago and can't wait to meet his new pal.

Lucas takes the slopes by storm

Lucas's auntie Chappell has taken it upon herself to teach Lucas how to ski. We know--11 days is a bit early--but the Marmon/Haines crew like to start 'em young. Anyway, Lucas has taken to skiing and is already tearing up the slopes.
